2017-06-08 - Nutrition Lecture at Nillumbik and Banyule Chinese Community Group

On Thursday 08 June 2017, Chinese Nurse Association Australia presented on the topic of “Nutrition” for the first time. We partnered with a nutritionist to introduce this topic to Nillumbik and Banyule Chinese Community Group to explain the symptoms and effects of osteoporosis for the senior community.

We delved into using food therapy to reduce symptoms, how to find the right ingredients when cooking and the proper nutritional intake. In addition, the talk also introduced ingredients that are bad for their health and how to avoid inappropriate intake of food.

It is satisfying that in the second half of 2017, with the support of professional nutritionist – Jois, Chinese Nurse Association Australia is able to bring more health related information to the Chinese community to help them better understand their bodies. This is to assist them with improving their health, symptoms of chronic diseases, and how to stop relying on drugs to control diseases.

For friends who are interested in our volunteer lectures or you are fond of a particular topic and would like to share this with the senior community, please send your resume to info@cnaai.org.au and we will be in contact
