On Saturday 10 December 2016, Chinese Nurse Association Australia hosted a Chinese Winter Solstice and Aged Care Tour within Adare Aged Care.
Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night. Generally, it is observed in June for the Southern Hemisphere and December for the Northern Hemisphere.
2016年12月10日，澳大利亚华人护士协会与爱德喜乐华人（ADARE）养老院一起，共同举办了一次庆祝冬至佳节，参观养老中心的活动。
在一年之中，冬至当天白昼时长最长，夜晚时长最短。总的来说，冬至这天在南半球会出现在六月， 而在北半球则会出现在十二月。
我们的义工成员将数多的孤寡老人接触家门，也来到了现场，和我们一起欢度今年的冬至节日并参观了这家州政府的养老设施。当天我们协会包了大量的饺子让所有的年长者们品尝，我们和设施内的当地年长们和在住的华裔年长者们共同渡过了一个美好的日子。
