On Wednesday 11 September 2013, our "Australian Aged Care System" Talk reached Whittlesea Chinese Association Senior Citizens' Group.
The session was led by our nurse consultant - Faye and attracted 35 individuals from their Chinese elderly social group.
The talk introduced one of the most advanced Aged Care systems in the world and provided an insight into the type of care to expect. As there are numerous Residential Aged Care options currently available, many of the Chinese elderly did not know where to begin looking. Through this session, they got a better understanding of what they are looking for.
Through this talk, we hope to open up another care option to the Chinese community so they can then personally decide the most suitable care option for their care needs in the future.
