Social Activity Volunteers

 

This group sends volunteers out to various Aged Care Facilities or homes to visit the Chinese residents on a regular basis (according to their available times) to help them in terms of breaking down cultural or language barriers that may be in place.

 

Volunteers will also help with the Nursing Home's Lifestyle Coordinators to provide Social activities and Cultural games in order to engage them individually.

Our aim is:

• To go our to various Aged Care Facilities and homes to meet the Chinese Senior and Disabled clients 

• To communicate and show love to these clients

• To release stress off of nursing staff and family members

• To help the clients overcome language and cultural barriers

• To keep the client's company and assist with social activities to keep them engaged
